Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Sunny Leone became well known for winning Penthouse magazine's
Pet of the Year title in 2003. She signed a contract with Vivid Entertainment in 2006 agreeing to
only perform in girl/girl sex scenes for the company. In 2007, Leone renegotiated her contract with
Vivid and her current contract includes performing in adult DVDs with male performers as well. Her
first movie under the new contract will be titled "Sunny Loves Matt", and will co-star Matt
Erickson.
Leone's father was born in Tibet but raised in New Delhi. Her mother is from a small town in
the mountains called Nahan. Leone asserts that her fair complexion is a reflection of her mother's
heritage. Her family moved to California in 1996 when Leone was 15 years old. After graduating high
school in 1999, she began modeling and eventually transitioned into nude modeling. Leone began
appearing in many magazines and websites in the nude, and eventually posed in a layout for
Penthouse magazine in 2001 as well as being featured in the Holiday 2001 edition of Hustler
magazine as a Hustler Honey. She was eventually named the 2003 Penthouse Pet of the Year.
In June 2006, Leone became an American citizen and now lives in Sacramento, Calif. She is
finishing college and intends to become a pediatric nurse upon graduation. |
